FCWS Walked the Revlon Walk for Women...

Saturday, May 6, 2006 was a good day to be a fucking cool woman. 9 of us represented the FCW Society at the Revlon Walk for Women! We woke up EARLY and met at 7:30am, walked 3.1 miles with thousands of others who are raising money to find a cure for cancer.

After we left Central Park, a few of us went and had brunch. We probably should have arranged to meet others right after the walk instead of Joyce's lovely offer to host at 5pm. I crashed at 3 and woke up in a very dazed state. The rest of the evening was a little hazy - thank goodness I had a Ewan Mcgregor movie to entertain me. Joyce called around 6 - did anyone make it?

THANK YOU AGAIN JOYCE for opening your home for a gathering ... we are fucking cool women just sometimes, we under estitmate our energy - our time ... and over book ourselves. This is what we do so much in our lives ... its so important to take care of ourselves and when you are tired, even though you want to do something, the main priority in a fucking cool woman's life is HER.

This is what makes our society - so many FCW committed to their own lives and dedicated to promoting & exploring feminist issues and interests while spreading the FACT that women are so fucking cool!
